Teaching our students how to learn and make the most out of their lives through success and enjoyment.

Breens Intermediate prides itself on providing a caring and supportive family environment where students are encouraged to strive to achieve.

Team work is encouraged through integrated learning and a team teaching approach. Students are required to be inclusive in all activities and take on different roles during cooperative work.

Success in Literacy and Numeracy is a focus for every student.

Positive leadership is provided by Principal and staff, and positives examples set by our head girl and boy, class councillors and house captains.

An acceleration class is provided to give students the opportunity to further develop their strength and abilities. Other extension programs are offered throughout the year to cater for the needs and interests of individual students.

Literacy Enrichment opportunities are provided for those students who require extra support in reading, writing and spelling. A specialist teacher coordinates this program for students.

ESOL - students who have English as their second language are supported school wide by a specialist teacher.

Emotional/Pastoral Care and Health Support is provided by caring team members and supported with regular visits from our dedicated health nurse.
